To win: Score 35 points in less than 20 turns
Set up your offense and then roll the six-sided die to determine the defense. See below to know which defense to select after rolling 1 of the six-sided die.
1: 1/3/1 Zone
2: 2/3 Zone
3: 3/2 Zone
4: Box and 1 Zone (Make a square with 4 players, and then the other player defends the ball handler)
5: Man to Man (place each defender next to each offensive player)
6: Double team the ball, triangle defense for the other 3 defensive players
Setup:
-
Set up your offense after rolling the six-sided die (the number rolled is the number of players that must be outside the three-point line. The ball must start outside the 3-point line, just like a regular game)
-
Set up the opposing team’s defense after rolling the six-sided die again (Refer to the top of the page).
Gameplay: You can shoot the ball, or you can pass the ball to one of your teammates, who will then shoot the ball.
1: If you choose to shoot the ball right away, roll the two six-sided dice like you would in the normal Basketball Chess Game. Refer to the stat sheet for shooting stats for different scenarios. If you miss, you have no chance for a rebound.
2: If you choose to the pass the ball to any of your teammates, then roll the 12-sided die on behalf of the defense. If you roll a low enough number for the pass to be successful, then move the ball to the teammate that you want the ball to go towards, and then shoot the ball (refer to the last half of step 1 of the gameplay )
3: If there is a turnover or a missed shot, then your turn is over. Reset the board and setup the offense and defense once again! (Refer to steps 1 and 2 again)
You have 20 turns to score as many points as you can! You can split the turns into quarters (5 turns per quarter) or halves (10 turns per half) and keep track of your score!
If you score 35 points or more, you win and are a Basketball Chess Master!
